Laken Swan is the Co-Founder & Chief Marketing Officer of Lafayette based Something Borrowed Blooms. Laken and her co-founder, Lauren Bercier, pioneered the rent & return wedding flower market in 2015, disrupting a $6B industry. To date, Laken and the team have empowered over 12,000 couples across North America to reallocate their wedding budget to better fit the needs of modern couples.
Through her leadership, Something Borrowed Blooms has been featured on Good Morning America's Stahan, Sara & Keke, within FedEx Office’s national brand campaign, and in several wedding publications including Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, and Wedding Day Magazine. Laken has also developed strategic partnerships with industry leaders, including David’s Bridal and Watters.
Laken has a passion for growing brands through strategic marketing. She began her career with Harrah's New Orleans overseeing special events and promotions before transitioning to Caesars Entertainment Corporation (NASDAQ: CZR) as Regional Marketing Specialist, Regional Marketing Manager, and later promoted to Regional Marketing Director for Louisiana and Mississippi where she had extensive experience managing all aspects of marketing strategy and brand management of Caesars Entertainment for the gulf coast states.
Laken graduated with her B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and currently resides in the Greater New Orleans area.
