KLEB 1600 AM and KZZQ 94.3 FM are radio stations covering South East LA that were purchased by the Callais family in 1985 with Corey Callais serving as manager. KLEB was a 1000 watt daytime station that was upgraded to 5000 watts with Cajun and Country Music and extensive local programming. KZZQ was a 3000 watt Class A station broadcasting Rock music that was upgraded to a 25,000 Class C3 station. Both stations were sold in 1998 and 1999 for $1.25mm.
