Callais Capital is happy to welcome our newest Associate, Holden Ferguson. Holden previously worked at Capital One on the tax credit team helping manage their portfolio as well as the securities desk assisting with the onboarding of investment banking clients. Prior to joining Capital One, he worked at JP Morgan Chase in banking and investments.
Holden will be monitoring and managing Callais Capital’s portfolio of investments while also providing financial analysis relating to VC financing transactions, restructurings, valuation analyses, cohort analyses, and liquidity events. Additionally, he will be performing market research and data analysis.

Getting to Know Holden:
What interested you about the position? Venture capital combines two major interests of mine, financial analysis and market research. After working in capital markets for the past year, I’ve seen a change in the landscape and the private markets have shown incredible returns over the last few years. VC’s also exciting. You get to invest in people and their visions rather than just a company.
At Callais Capital, I look forward to helping founders accomplish their goals and provide insights on how to best allocate capital, resources, and grow their business.
What excites you about venture capital in Louisiana and the surrounding areas? I think New Orleans and Louisiana have a lot to offer in the venture capital space. The Gulf South has relatively remained untouched in this space but there are plenty of founders and companies in need of capital to execute their vision.
Hobbies outside of work? I love to golfing, spending time exploring New Orleans with my wife Addie, taking our Goldendoodle Walter on walks, and watching college football in the fall.

Holden will be attending the NVCA VC University event in September and plans to attend many other entrepreneurial events in the Louisiana area.
