Nicholas Callais, Venture Partner, CFO & CCO
Nicholas P. Callais is a Venture Partner, CFO & CCO for Callais Capital. Nicholas is responsible for all finance and operations oversight functions for Callais Capital Nick also assists portfolio companies with financial reporting, organizational design, and other operational and strategic decisions. He currently manages over 10 entities for the firm and sits on the boards of portfolio companies Mumms Software, Brewsy, Beast Brands, Pelican Waste, and board observer for Posigen, Inc.
Previously, Nicholas worked at United Community Bank in credit analysis and in several different political roles. He was previously the youngest elected official in Louisiana as Vice President on the Terrebonne Parish Republican Party Executive Committee and worked as a Regional Political Director in several campaigns on the federal, state, and local levels.
Nicholas serves on Investment Committee Member for Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans and Acadiana, and is a member of the Private Equity CFO Association, and the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) CFO Task Force. He served on the board of the Louisiana Young ACG Chapter, Tulane Association of Business Alumni, and on the Eagle Scout Committee for the Southeast Louisiana Council for the Boy Scouts of America. Nicholas is a member of Leadership Louisiana Class of 2020,
Nicholas received a B.A. in Philosophy with a concentration in Law, Morality, and Society and in Political Science with a concentration in Public Policy and Politics with a minor in Economics from Tulane University, where he was recognized with the Emerging Student Leader Award. Nicholas received an MBA - Finance from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. He was recently named New Orleans CityBusiness Moneymaker for 2022. He holds the FINRA Series 65, and is an Eagle Scout. Nicholas lives in Boulder, CO with his wife Abigail, son Conrad, and Goldendoodle, (Hurri)Cane.
